OVERVIEW

All the ute. Now with electric muscle.

Australia's a big country. Long roads, real loads, and not a fast charger for three hundred kilometres in either direction. So the Stockman runs diesel and electric — up to 100km on electrons alone, and a diesel kicking in when you actually need it. It's not hedging its bets. It just did the sums on what Australians actually drive.

over 100km

Electric-only range (NEDC)

That's Sydney to Katoomba. On electrons. No stops.

3500kg

Braked towing capacity

Boat. Caravan. That trailer your mate swore he'd return.

2L/100km

Combined fuel consumption

For a diesel ute, that's remarkable.

350kW

Combined system output

800Nm of torque. Quietly devastating on a dirt road.

Not your typical ute. We've double-checked.

STOCKMAN

The Stockman wasn't designed by people who've never left the test track. Chery's engineers flew to Australia, got on our roads, and built something that handles the long haul, the dirt track, and the commute — without asking you to compromise on any of them.

electric

Electric first

Up to 100km on electric power alone. Use the diesel for when the distances get properly Australian. Smart enough to switch seamlessly. You probably won't even notice.

engine

2.5T diesel Super Hybrid

A 2.5-litre turbo diesel paired with a battery and electric motor — the first setup of its kind in a ute, anywhere. 10% more efficient and 30% less vibration than a conventional diesel. Your back will notice.

Built for here

Chery's engineers didn't just spec it without coming to visit. They came here, drove the roads, benchmarked our rivals, and tuned the Stockman for Australian conditions. It shows.

THE POWERTRAIN

Engineered power. Not engineered compromises.

The Stockman is built around a 2.5-litre turbo diesel — the kind of engine that knows its way around a long haul. The electric motor is there to make it faster, cleaner, and quieter, not to replace it. Together they produce 350kW and 800Nm. Enough grunt to remind other utes who they're dealing with.

POWER SOURCE 1  2.5T Diesel

Turbocharged. Torquey. Ready for the long haul.

POWER SOURCE 2  Electric

Up to 100km EV range. Zero emissions. Zero drama.

TOWING

Tows what needs towing. Carries what needs carrying.

Chery confirmed the towing figures as non-negotiable for Australia. 3,500kg braked — not aspirational, not a stretch target. The baseline. Built to compete at the top of the segment from day one.

THE INTERIOR EXPERIENCE

Rugged luxury. Both. At once.

Suede on the dash, the door cards, and the roof lining. Leather seats front and rear. The Stockman's cabin makes the established utes look like they stopped trying — because based on rear legroom and fit-out, they kind of did.

  • Heated and ventilated front seats, leather throughout
  • Flat rear floor with genuine extra legroom over key rivals
  • Wireless charging, dual-zone climate and premium sound

BUILT FOR HERE

Built for Australia. Not just labeled that way.

Chery's engineers didn't spec the Stockman from a desk overseas. They flew to Australia, drove the competitors, and benchmarked the roads. ADAS systems are being tuned locally. The suspension is calibrated for our conditions. This isn't a Chinese ute with an Australian sticker — it's a ute developed with Australia in the brief from the start.

  • Australian-tuned advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
  • Suspension calibrated for local road and load conditions

The off-road stuff. For when it gets serious.

OFF-ROAD CAPABILITY

The Stockman doesn't just look the part. Below the leather and stylish design is a ute that means business when the bitumen runs out. Three diff locks, crawl control, and a tight-turn assist — it's a proper off-roader wearing a very good suit.

clearance

≥247mm ground clearance

Minimum 247mm. That's enough clearance to get properly into trouble — and, more importantly, back out of it.

paper

Specced for the serious stuff.

3,500kg towing. 4WD. AT tyres as standard. The Stockman's spec sheet reads like a checklist written by someone who's actually been off-road.

tyre

AT tyres

All-terrain rubber as standard. Because all-season tyres are an insult to anyone who's driven a dirt road after rain.
