OVERVIEW

Electric driving. Without the leap of faith.

CSH is a plug-in hybrid system built for drivers who want the efficiency of an EV without betting everything on a charging network. Run on pure electricity for your daily drives — up to 170km* without touching the tank. When you need to go further, the petrol engine is already there. No planning. No compromise.

This isn’t your typical hybrid.

Most hybrids were designed around a petrol engine, with an electric motor added to help. Chery Super Hybrid was designed the other way around — electric first, with a purpose-built petrol engine that exists to extend your range.

The result is a system that drives like an EV on the roads you use every day, smooth, quiet, and powerful.

Electric First

EV mode is the default. Petrol only steps in when you need it to.

Purpose-built engine

The highly efficient 1.5L turbocharged engine was designed specifically for hybrid operation — 44.5% thermal efficiency, one of the highest of any engine in production

Never stranded

In normal operations the battery never fully depletes. Even if you don't plug it in to charge it, the system switches to hybrid automatically. You just keep driving.

UNDER THE BONNET

2 modes, one decision. EV or Hybrid.

Mode 1 — Pure EV Mode

Fully charged.

Up to 170km* of EV range in the Tiggo 9 Super Hybrid. As long as the battery has been charged, you choose when to use this mode. Charge it at home, the shops, work, or along the way. No petrol engine input.

Mode 1 — Pure EV Mode

Mode 2 — Hybrid Mode

Around town. Every day.

In hybrid mode, CSH reads your speed, your battery level, and the road ahead - then picks the right power flow automatically. It'll switch between Electric Drive, Hybrid Series, or Hybrid Parallel, depending on what's best. Silent, smooth, zero fuel. For most drivers, this covers the school run, the commute, the errands — the drives that happen on repeat.

Mode 2 — Hybrid Mode

Power on your terms

Charge when you can. Drive when you can't. CSH works with whatever access to power you have — including none at all.

Fast Charging (DC)

The quick stop.

Plug into a public DC fast charger and get 71kW max charging rate in the Tiggo 9 Super Hybrid. Charges up in enough time to grab a coffee but not so long that it derails your day.

Home Charging (AC)

The overnight reset.

Plug in before bed using a standard home wall charger. Wake up with a full battery. For most drivers, this is the only charging they ever need.

No charging

The safety net that changes everything.

Don't have a charger at home? No wall charger at work? No problem. If the battery runs low, CSH automatically switches to hybrid mode — the petrol engine maintains the battery above 15% and you keep driving. No warnings, no anxiety, no roadside stop.

DEDICATED HYBRID TRANSMISSION (DHT)

Built for hybrid. Not adapted for it.

Most hybrid transmissions started life as petrol gearboxes — modified after the fact to accommodate an electric motor. Chery's DHT was designed from a blank page, specifically for the demands of a hybrid drivetrain.
The result is 98.5% transmission efficiency — meaning almost no energy is lost in the transmission. That's what makes the power delivery feel instant and the mode transitions feel invisible.
