Chery Motor Australia has announced that leading Australian OEM automotive engineering company Premcar has been appointed to undertake in-market testing and validation of the all-new Chery Stockman ute, ensuring the vehicle is comprehensively assessed against the unique demands of Australian roads, conditions and customer expectations.

The collaboration marks another important milestone in the development of Chery's first ute ahead of its Australian launch, with Premcar conducting an extensive local testing and validation program that will assess Chery’s ride and handling tuning before the Stockman’s local release.

Australia is recognised globally as one of the toughest environments for ute development, with local customers demanding exceptional capability both on- and off-road. This local validation program will ensure the Stockman delivers Chery’s ride and handling attributes, which are aimed squarely at meeting Australian ute buyers’ expectations.

Premcar has 30 years of experience in engineering, testing and developing new vehicles for Australian conditions, having delivered local vehicle programs for numerous global automotive manufacturers.
