With a total of 1.1 million vehicles, the car manufacturer recorded an impressive 48.4% increase compared to 2023, including 532,000 units for export.From January to June, cumulative global vehicle sales amounted to 1,100,621 vehicles, with 568,463 cars sold in in China equalling an increase of 72.2% compared to the previous year. In parallel, 532,158 vehicles were sold in over 80 export markets worldwide, an increase of 29.4% compared to 2023. Chery led the Chinese automotive industry in four categories:in the overall growth rate - Chery once again grew against the trend in June (+38%)growth in the New Energy Vehicles segment (+181.5%)in the SUV segment (since 2023)in its position as China's leading car exporter (for 21 years in a row)Chery's strong sales performance is based equally on vehicle models with combustion engines and electrified cars, which have driven sales figures to new heights in the past six months. The diverse product strategy ensures Chery can effectively deliver to the very different requirements of countries and markets, as well as to the wishes of local customers.In Australia, Chery achieved two significant milestones in June, surpassing 10,000 sales since launching in March 2023, while the brand simultaneously achieved 1,000 monthly sales for the first time in June 2024 (1,079 units – June VFACTS) following the launch of the new 7-seat SUV TIGGO 8 Pro Max. Chery will also be launching their first electric vehicle in September, the OMODA E5, which promises to build on the positive sales momentum for the brand in Australia.
