Journalists from Australia’s top automotive media outlets were recently invited to experience Chery’s first all-electric vehicle, the Omoda E5.

Delivering a premium interior, an array of equipment and safety systems, the E5 continues to build Chery’s reputation for providing vehicles that punch well above their weight.

Josh Nevett from CarExpert scored the E5 an impressive 8.1/10 and states, “Chery’s first EV in Australia is a grown-up SUV with massive showroom appeal that sets it apart from the competition.”

Alex Misoyannis also praised the SUV, quoting “the Chery Omoda E5 has all the ingredients it needs to succeed in the increasingly competitive sub-$50,000 electric vehicle market.”

Finally, Riz Akhtar complemented the E5 for including a full-spare wheel.  

“There is also a full-sized spare that comes with the car, making it one of the only new EVs on the market to have one. This will give owners a lot of confidence when taking it on road-trips.”
