Chery, one of the largest global automotive brands, has announced that its OMODA 5 has achieved a 5-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) in Australia. The OMODA 5 is Chery’s first model since relaunching in Australia in March, 2023.

The OMODA 5 scored 87% for Adult Occupant Protection, 88% Child Occupant Protection, 68% Vulnerable Road User Protection and 83% Safety Assist.

“We are extremely proud to receive the prestigious 5-star ANCAP safety rating for our latest model,” said Andy Zhang, Managing Director, Chery Motor Australia. “Safety is a top priority for Chery, and this recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering vehicles that meet the highest safety standards and provide peace of mind to our customers.”
